W P Kimball asks McChord to state views on House Bill 72 for relief to tobacco growers. McChord argues the bill would fail to help and that current laws empower a tobacco trust to fix prices, harming growers. He urges repeal of restrictive laws to restore competition and allow sale of stemmed tobacco to consumers without six cent tax.
