Death of John Nally at sixty five near St Rose
Mr John H Nally died Tuesday near St Rose summption aged about sixty five. He was twice married first to Miss Lizzie Bickett and had four children three living. His second wife was Miss Kate McCullom who survives him. A ex Federal soldier, he was respected by farmers. Funeral was held at St Rose mill. The town mourns the loss of Mrs Amelia Moore, long a resident.

Narrow Escape For Dentist In Runaway Incident
Dr. W. F. Trusty of this city barely escaped death after a runaway at a Chicago railroad crossing. Driving two horses on a surrey bound for New Hope, a frightened horse lunged, the vehicle toppled, an iron rod struck his temple, and he was dragged before bystanders halted the pair. He sustained bruises but boarded a train to continue to New Hope, with the surrey damaged and repairs needed.
