Tragic Death of Rufus Bonta Near Danville Pike
The body of Rufus Bonta was found in a pond on his farm two miles from town on the Danville pike. He had left home after dinner Wednesday and did not return. Neighbors G McClanahan and Trisler located his head visible above water. It is believed he slipped into the shallow pond while wandering about the place and could not get out due to weakness.
