Willisburg Ky June 4 a possibly largest crowd in the area gathered at Glen's Creek church to hear Judge Thurman and Rev Walden speak on local option. The hot day drew a packed audience with strong anti alcohol sentiment and praise for Thurman a Washington county native whose motives were deemed selfless and for the welfare of future generations.
Mr Jacob Cocanougher aged eighty died yesterday morning after suffering smallpox and recent stroke. He lived in the Texas neighborhood, was known as a Christian gentleman, and leaves two sons George and Flem in the county and a daughter in California along with numerous relatives and friends.
