In Circuit Court last week J Rich Smith and neighbors sued Cumberland Telephone and Telegraph Co for failing to connect a neighborhood line within a mile and a half of Springfield. Jury awarded $1,000 in damages and the court issued a mandatory injunction to connect lines. Plaintiffs were represented by W C McChord and T Scott Mayes. defendants by C C McChord and Fairleigh.

Longtime Harrodsburg Resident Dies at 88
Geo D Goleman 88, a prominent Harrodsburg Democrat and among county's oldest citizens, died yesterday afternoon at 4 at the residence of Mrs Lucy Robb Robb Station. He was born May 10 last and was the last of his family. Remains will be buried in Hill Cemetery this Friday with services by Dr J G Hanter.
