Lebanon Grocery Co Sues Local Phone Company in Circuit Court
The Lebanon Grocery Co. filed suit in the Circuit Court seeking a mandamus to force the local telephone company to furnish service and asking for a $2,000 judgment. The company alleges persistent refusals since May 13, 1907, and accuses the operator of a plan to provoke higher rates or abandon the Lebanon exchange. A temporary order to install the telephone is set for consideration before Judge Thurman at Springfield.
