Tramps Rearedon and Lon Thornbury were arrested by Marshal Grace on charges of stealing a purse and pocketbook from Mrs. Matt Wycoff. Miss Bessie Durrett of Bloomfield died yesterday at 3 a.m. after seven weeks of typhoid fever. She was eighteen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jnc C. Durrett, and a niece of Mrs. J R Claybrooke and Mr. J St Durrett. A Presbyterian church member, she was regarded as a genial, charming young woman. Funeral services will be held today.
The Lebanon Chautauqua runs July 18 to 27 with larger crowds and first class accommodations. Bryan lectures July 20 at 1 30 p m and Tillman on July 28. The program features top platform orators, band concerts, quartets, elocutionary contests, baseball and more for a profitable outing.

Elizabethtown Kentucky June 28 Cher ter Kennady a 1 C pumper at Ce relian in this county was struck by a train yesterday evening. His left arm was mangled and his skull fractured. His arm has been amputated and he is in a serious condition. It is believed he was asleep beside the track.

He cites last year’s shortage blamed on delayed purchases and idle cars. Also Scott County Fair directors plan a large tobacco show on August first in Georgetown with substantial premiums for leaf lugs red leaf and Burley samples. Predictions emphasize preparations before cold weather.
