Kicked By Horse Injures Mr. Clements In Stable
Mr. Hite Clements of near town was kicked by a horse yesterday at 11 in the stable. The hoof struck the mouth, tearing teeth and injuring the face and lips. a deep scalp wound required several sutures. He is a respected county farmer and now recovering. Agricultural Commissioner Vreeland set Farmers Institutes in the state from August 19 to October 26, with Springfield events on Sept. 18 and 19. Tramps Jack Reardon and Lon Thornbury, arrested for stealing money and stock from Mrs. Wycoff, confessed and were bound for the grand jury.
