Death of R Y McElroy in Lebanon Kentucky
R Yarrett McElroy died December 2 1906 at his Lebanon Kentucky residence in his eightieth year. Funeral services were held December 3 at the Methodist church with Keys Lyons and Prather officiating. He left three children by his first wife Fannie Hardin and two by his second wife Rebecca and R Y Jr. He was born in Washington County and was a successful farmer and stock raiser. He served as president of Citizens National Bank of Lebanon and was active in business and social life. He was survived by his family and approved by the community as a loyal church member and generous donor.
