Frances Julia Kisiloski of Tyndall and Fred Sherby of Oakbank were married on Saturday October 2 at St John the Baptist church in Tyndall. Lac Du Bonnet Rural Council Sets Meeting Decisions

The Lac du Bonnet Rural Council, led by Reeve E Wojciechowski, met October 5 to approve payments and tax actions. A $114.05 lumber overpayment refund from Joe Mikliechuk was promised by October 9. Ed Preece was announced as the new Scoutmaster.

Volunteers Build Memorial Rink in Beausejour During Holiday

Volunteers worked on the Memorial Rink during Thanksgiving with L. J. Pulfer B. Warkentin Julian Schena Alvin Hayes Eddie Chmielnicke and many others helping. Over 30 local men contributed a full day advancing the rink construction and showcasing town goodwill. Beausejour citizens are praised for cooperation and nation-spirited effort.

Mothers provided a hearty lunch as the group gathered around a movie screen. They watched reels filmed by Mr Anderson, with the highlight a weekend camp attended by the Wolf Cubs in summer. The meeting closed with Wolf Cub and Boy Scout prayers.

The Whitemouth school tea at the Municipal hall raised 50 for a school radio fund. The money will support a radio installation to broaden youth education in the community. The executive thanks all helpers and patrons.

Obituary for George Paul of Lac du Bonnet

George Paul aged 53 died October 2 in St. Boniface hospital after a short illness. He was a World War I veteran and is survived by three sisters, one brother, and his Catholic faith noted. Funeral October 6 at Notre Dame Church with Canadian Legion pallbearers and Coutu and Co. undertaking the arrangements.
