War Widows Seek Higher Pensions At Winnipeg Conference
War widows at a Winnipeg conference of the Dominion Council of Non-pensioned Widows urged the federal government to raise the war widow allowance to 40 dollars a month. They also demanded removing the age minimum, currently 55, so widows of any age become eligible.
