Cloverleaf Men Fined In Court For Liquor Possession
Cloverleaf residents Stanley Chura and William B Ignat were fined 300 dollars each in provincial police court for possessing 27 gallons of illicit alcohol under the Excise act. Chura paid the fine. Ignat, via counsel Archie Micay, will appeal both convictions from the Provincial Liquor act case for liquor not purchased from the commission.

Gustave Langner Killed In Fall Near Beausejour
Gustave Langner 65 of Beausejour died Friday after falling from a roof while building a house at Dencross, 18 miles northeast of Beausejour. The body was found by a 12 year old boy. Coroner Dr. W S Reid said no inquest would be held.

City Youths Sentenced For Beating And Robbing Joseph Machorek
Walter Kice Khceluk 19 of 49 Maple St and Ernest Guilbault 19 of 726 Bannerman were each sentenced to three years in the penitentiary after pleading guilty to theft in Winnipeg police court. David A. Peck involved in the sentence was sent to juvenile court. They lured Joseph Machorek of Beausejour to Logan Ave, beat and robbed him of 17 dollars on Sept 23. Guilbault had a prior revolver conviction. Khceluk received a suspended sentence after a prior conviction.
