A baby boy named David Earle was born May 31 at St. Boniface Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bush. Mrs. Herb Singleton of Carman visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. Rumak, for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. J. Cunningham of Excell Alberta stayed with Mr. and Mrs. H. Bush for a week for the wedding of their son Const. J. R. Cunningham to Miss Jean Bush. Alec Larson of Winnipeg spent Sunday with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Larson.

Obituary for Caroline Stiller

Mrs Caroline Stiller born October 2 1874 in Poland died June 2 at the Old Folks Home Bethania near Winnipeg aged 73. She came to Canada in 1902 lived in Winnipeg and Beausejour district and later resided at the home. Survived by husband Julius adopted daughter Minnie two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services held at Zion Lutheran church and burial at Beausejour cemetery on Sunday June 6. Russell's Funeral Home in charge.

Pioneer resident Ludwig Rogocki dies at 78 in Ladywood

Ludwig Rogocki, a long-time Ladywood district resident and Austrian immigrant, died at his son Joseph Rogocki’s home on Monday June 7 at age 78. He was widowed, survived by three sons Joseph Mike John and daughters Mrs. T Haluska Mrs L E Dobinski and Mrs B Sambarski. Funeral services were held at the Roman Catholic church in Ladywood with Father Litowski officiating and burial in Ladywood cemetery.

Death of L. L. Laroche in Pine Falls at 59

L. L. Laroche of Pine Falls died at his home on Wednesday June 2 at age 59. Born in Victoriaville Quebec he moved to Pine Falls from Beaupre PQ in April 1939 to serve as groundwood mill superintendent. Surviving are his widow Elizabeth a daughter Mrs C A Johnston of Pine Falls and a son.

Requiem High Mass for Mr. La Roche

Joseph of Iriqueis Falls Ontario and grandchildren mourn as a requiem high mass for Mr. La Roche is held at St. Theresa church on June 5. Experienced bush pilots found after forced landing

Roy Brown and Milt Ashton of Central Northern Airways were located days after a Sunday forced landing near Lac du Bonnet. An intensive search finally found them by their campfire with the aircraft moored. They declined being lost and joked about the search.
