Fire Destroys Truck at Rock Island Freight House
Fire at 6:50 Monday morning drew Ladd truck owned by Wm Edwards of Ladd to the Rock Island freight house. The truck caught fire near the driver’s seat while Mr Edwards was in La Salle for freight. Firemen from La Salle used chemicals to extinguish the blaze, preventing significant damage.
