Poisoned pancake plan unfolds at preliminary hearing
Kathryn Fury 23, a fencer, admits mixing strychnine into flour for tainted pancakes fed to the family, including the dog that died. In Battle Creek District Court, her mother Virginia testified seeing the open flour box in the waste can. Fury described stealing poison from a veterinarian relative and abandoning the plan after reading about grisly deaths.
