Jackson County State's Attorney John Clemons concluded the YMCC complaints against Carbondale police lacked credibility and did not warrant criminal prosecution after a nearly two month probe by his office and the Illinois Division of Criminal Investigations. He cited lack of cooperation from YMCC members and questioned the money theft and harassment allegations while noting police acted within the law on March 13.
