County tax bills delayed but earlier than prior year Perry County
Perry County property tax bills are arriving later than hoped but earlier than last year. Assessor Robin Edwards said the tax abstracts were sent to the Illinois Department of Revenue on June 14, about two months earlier than the prior year. The tentative county multiplier is 1.0, yet property owners likely face tax increases due to higher levies and applied factors. The state typically processes the abstracts within about a month to finalize the multiplier.
