Web site helps check if credit cards are stolen
An anti fraud group CardCops opened a site to let users check if their credit card numbers are compromised. The database, built in seven weeks, holds about 100000 numbers from chat rooms where thieves test validity. CardCops aims to shorten the theft-to-discovery window and urges users with hits to contact banks.
