Spring Grove's history seen in its cemetery tour
Spring Grove residents trace founding families from 1838 as a Cole Cemetery Tour highlights local heritage. Irene Barre notes tours educate newcomers about notable figures Bertha Stevens Norton and Fred Hatch whose silage idea transformed farming. The event honors a former slave John Henry Hegler and preserves town memory for descendants and visitors alike.
