How to Fly Your Flag in Proper Form

The flag should be hoisted briskly and lowered ceremoniously. It must never touch the ground and the union stars face away from a building when hung over a sidewalk. When vertical over a street, stars face north on east/west streets and east on north/south streets. The US flag leads any group of flags and should fall free, not be festooned. Display at half staff until noon Memorial Day, then raise to the top. Do not fly upside down except in extreme danger. Fly daily from sunrise to sunset, and at night if illuminated.
