Teenager Dies in Johnston City Car Crash

No new information has been released about the Sunday evening traffic crash that killed 16-year-old Twila Dawn Moeller. Deputies say her southbound car left Old Frankfort Road near Ninth Street and struck a tree at about 10 40 p.m. She was alone. Services set for 11 a.m. at Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.

Carbondale man charged after cannabis arrest 30 to 500 grams

Snowden Jerome Lee Snowden Jr. 21 of Carbondale was stopped early Wednesday and charged with possession of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis with intent to deliver a Class 3 felony and driving under the influence of drugs. Police found 160 grams in his vehicle and he was jailed in Jackson County. Also reported were a Sesser man’s domestic case and SIUC theft of Cisco Aironet gear.
