Dairymen from Coos and Curry counties form a district committee in Coquille to join the Oregon Dairy men's League. Some 176 dairymen, representing 6072 cows, sign up and plan to transfer contracts and plants by June first. The group seeks appraisers and a deputy dairy inspector to standardize butter and cheese. Attendees include Clinton, Reed, Cutler, and others from Myrtle Point and nearby towns.
First National Bank of Bend Oregon touts stronger finances with an $800 Rampouillet buck and 74 purebred Rambouillet ewes. The plan would distribute stock to central Oregon sheepmen as Deschutes County receives its first purebred sheep citation in the Washington Weekly News Letter.

Decoration Day events on May 31 include cemetery ceremonies led by American Legion and G A R, a 2 pm program at the Unique theatre with music and flag drills, and a memorial address by Dr L M Anderson. The Myrtle Point High School class of 1920 celebrated with a full house at the Unique theatre. Seven graduates received diplomas as Miss Edna Johnson and Miss Blanche Lee led on stage with songs and prophecies. J. T. Brand, Marshfield prosecutor, gave the class address. Floral favors and class colors of purple and white complemented the ceremony.
The Myrtle Point precincts reported light voting across the county and state, with independent voters unable to participate in the primaries. Johnson carried the state for president by under 2,000 votes, while Stanfield led for Republican senator and Chamberlain topped the Democratic ticket. In Myrtle Point, contests for prosecutor and coroner were close, and local totals show narrow margins in several offices. Additionally, a teacher suffered a arm injury on school grounds, and a boy underwent adenoid and tonsil surgery at Pemberton hospital.
Claude E Clark aged 32 years 11 months 10 days died last Sunday May 23 at the Salem tubercular hospital. Body shipped to Myrtle Point for interment with funeral at the Presbyterian church in Myrtle Point Thursday at 10 am. Born June 13 1888 in Lincoln county Washington and longtime resident of Myrtle Point.
