Civil War veteran A J Mack dies in Eugene
A J Mack, Civil War veteran and longtime Eugene resident, died at 805 Fourth Avenue West on Friday July 10 1925 in his 80th year. He served with the 24th Ohio infantry and was born October 20 1845 in Dark County Ohio. Funeral services were held July 13 at Veatch Chapel with Masonic rites and burial in the I O O F cemetery in Eugene. He leaves a wife a son and three daughters plus several nieces and nephews.
