Earl Gates of Coos Curry Telephone Co visits Myrtle Point on business to report a crew is extending service in the Gravel Ford Sitkum and Dora district, cutting about 306 poles. Dan Brow a Coquille boy is in charge of it.
William Jenkins aged 94 years 10 months and 27 days died Friday morning at his daughter Mrs George Mullica's home. He was born September 8 1830 in Hopkins County Kentucky and lived in Missouri Oregon California Jackson County and finally Polk County Oregon settling on Coos County's middle fork of the Coquille river in 1871. Survived by children Henry Jenkins Edward and John A Jenkins and 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Burial Saturday at Enchanted Prairie Cemetery with Uncle Tommy Barklow officiating.
Mrs Fiora E Brack a long time resident since 1872 died at the Brack homestead on the Middle Fork Monday morning Funeral services were held at the Church of the Brethren Thursday at 2 oclock with burial at the nearby cemetery The name Thomas appears in the obituary line though its relation is unclear.

L L Graham district traffic manager for Southern Pacific, based in Eugene, visited Myrtle Point Friday. He replaced local shippers with a new wall map of the Southern Pacific system and the United States, now off the press. He discussed the plan to move company terminals from Springfield to west of Eugene, saying the change benefits the Coos Bay line by placing shops and terminal facilities on the bay line.
