Christ Episcopal Church at 65th street and Woodlawn hosted its annual united bank offering luncheon with Bishop George Craig Stewart celebrating. Over 400 diocesan attendees. The Women’s Auxiliary led by president Mrs. Helen Marian oversaw arrangements.

Louis Norway, 60, died after a ladder fall while working on a building at 606 90th Pl. He died in Burnside Hospital Sunday night from injuries. Barton Jr a 27 year old lawyer of the Southeast community who dropped dead at his parents home from an acute heart attack Survivors include his parents two sisters and a grandmother The Grand Crossing lodge No 716 AF and AM conducted the rites at Carl J Adams funeral chapel with interment in Cedar Park cemetery
Gordon Roberts six year old son of Mr and Mrs Gwilym P Roberts of Rhodes avenue was reported improving at St Luke hospital from a fractured skull and broken collar bone after being struck by Lilian Smith 39 of Oglesby avenue at 81st street and Cottage Grove avenue last Thursday Burnside police said the driver of the car involved was Lilian Smith.
