Mutsch returned Saturday from a three week vacation across Minnesota. J B Taylor of Watertown, representing Home Life Insurance of New York, was in town yesterday as guest of Ed Hunt. Mrs H C Crosby and sons Harvey and Niel have returned to Sisseton from their Butte County homestead. Bread fresh bread five loaves for 25 cents at Robinsons Bakery.

Militia Ball Finds Quiet Evening Despite Light Attendance

The Militia ball drew a small crowd yet offered full enjoyment for attendees. The community notes Mrs Wilson is gradually improving in health and sat with family at Tuesday breakfast as hopes rise for a speedy recovery.

Court finds opening on Sunday activities sufficient for conviction regardless of proof of entry or sale.

About three hundred Sioux Indians from Browns Valley traveled to the Minnesota State Fair grounds for reenactment festivities. They carried packed trunks and wore paint to showcase their heritage, aiming to be a notable attraction at the event.

Accident Near Watertown Claims Ainsworth and Kempeska

An accident at Watertown last week involved Arthur Ainsworth of the Ainsworth Piano Co and Kempeska while fishing. Their boat capsized when the anchor was pulled up, leaving Ainsworth drowned despite a boy with another boat pulling him from the water. The Watertown postmaster Wylie was present in the boat.

Company J about forty strong travels to Fort Riley to be gone about two weeks. The men ride in a special car with mahogany colored porters, receiving Uncle Sam’s best in comforts and conveniences.

In Pierre South Dakota August 26 the supreme court affirmed lower court rulings in State vs Fairchild and State vs Schull both saloon cases from Grant county. Convictions previously upheld in lower courts remain intact.

Geneseo State bank in Geneseo Sargent county was wrecked by robbers early today and $2.30 in paper money stolen. The interior of the building was wrecked. A $500 reward is offered for the thieves' capture.

Drowned Child Found in Water Tank Near Falkton

In Falkton South Carolina on August 25 a mother searched for her toddling boy nine miles northeast of town. Ten minutes after sighting him she lost track and a half hour later the boy's body was recovered floating in a watering tank three feet deep.
