G ih Gambpang and his wife began inspections on a telephone line last Monday to repair it. Mr. Carlaw went ahead with his daughter and Mrs. Carlaw in a buggy. After repairs, the horse kicked free and bolted, dragging the buggy as the team ran at top speed.

Fatal Shotgun Accident Ends Life of Ed Looney

Ed Looney, newly arrived from Mankota Minnesota, died last Monday from a shotgun wound in Easter township. He was employed on Nels Jenson’s farm. A companion’s careless handling of the gun during examination caused the fatal injury above the knee, with death occurring before aid could arrive.
