Advertisement extols Syrup of Figs as a pure liquid laxative aiding digestion and cleansing the system. It claims quick relief from colds headaches fevers and constipation without weakening organs. The California Fig Syrup Co manufactures the product sold by druggists in 50c and $1 bottles and its name appears on every package.
Tickets sold and baggage handled to eastern points are noted. Travelers insurance tickets are mentioned as sold. J. A. Pemrano serves as agent for this service.
The Silver party of Nevada adopted a platform at Carson City on September 4 1894 asserting principles on free coinage of silver at 16 to 1 opposition to restrictions, government debt, and Monney policy. It calls for government ownership of telegraphs and subsidized railroads, labor reforms, enforcement of laws, opposition to lotteries, and support for public schools. It endorses the People’s party and names Senators Stewart and Jones and Congressman Newlands.
