An advertisement extols Syrup of Figs as a pure liquid laxative that cleanses the system, eases colds headaches and fevers, and improves health without weakening organs. It claims wide medical approval and urges buyers to purchase only from the California Fig Syrup Co with no substitutes.
Time tables indicate tickets sold and baggage checked through to all eastern points. Travelers insurance tickets fine sold. J. A. Fernang, Agent. TRALS No a5 Not.
The article lists rail lines by mileage from Atchison Topeka Santa Fe 7125 miles to Baltimore and Ohio 1000 miles. It also touts Hood's Sarsaparilla as restoring appetite and blood purification and Hood's Prunus for liver ills and digestion.
Registration books for the November 6, 1404 general election for State County and Township officers are open daily 10 am to 6 pm until October 10, 18, and from October 10, 1894 to October 21, 184, 7 pm to 9 pm in addition to prior hours.
