An old advertisement extols the benefits of California Fig Syrup as a gentle laxative. It promises internal cleansing and relief from ailments, stating the product stands highest among laxatives and is trusted by physicians and the public.

Advert shows Chamberlain's Eye Ointment cures itching and smarting from eczema tetter and other skin diseases. It is touted for sore eyes chapped hands chilblains frost bites and similar afflictions. Sold by druggists at 25 cents per box. Also Dr Cady's Condition Powders advertised as a tonic blood purifier and vermifuge for horses.
The Silver party of Nevada in convention endorses Bryan for president and Sewall for vice president, calls for remonetization of silver at 16 to 1, government money issues, national rail and telegraph ownership, reform of banking, and protection for public schools. It attacks Republican inconsistencies on free coinage and supports tariffs, pensions, and inland waterway development.
