A damaged ad claims California Fig Syrup Co manufactures a trusted laxative product. It touts cures for many illnesses as a gentle aid, claims it cleanses the system, and advises consulting a physician for actual diseases while endorsing Figs as the preferred remedy sold by reputable druggists.
Tickets sold and baggage checked through to eastern points. Travelers insurance tickets noted with.oal.
The ointment relieves intense itching and smarting from eczema, tetter, and salt rheum and has cured many severe cases. Also effective for itching piles, chapped hands, chilblains, frost bites, and chronic sore eyes. Sold by druggists at 25 cents per box. Also Dr. Cady's Condition Powders praised as tonic and vermifuge for a horse.
Nevada Silver party in convention pledges support to Bryan and Sewall, endorses St. Louis 1896 platform, calls for 16 to 1 remonetization, full legal tender silver, abolition of national banks, government money issuance, and federal rail and telegraph ownership. It also backs direct US Senate election, protection of pensions, and enforcement of public school funding.
The Second Judicial District Court of Nevada Humboldt County issues an order of sale in favor of E Reinhart & Co against Company D First Brigade Nevada National Guard and others. The sale, under a 1896 decree, covers Armory Hall and adjacent property in Winnemucca, to be held October 22, 1896 at noon at the courthouse, for cash to satisfy judgment, interest, and costs. The Board of County Commissioners invites sealed bids for general repair of the County Jail. Bids must be filed with the County Clerk by September 12, 1896, addressed to Chairman County Commissioners Winnemucca Nevada. The board may reject any or all bids. Chairman A B Trousdale and County Clerk Dunn announce the notice from Winnemucca Nevada dated July 21, 1896.
