J H Kinkead added an automatic ore screen to his milling plant as described in the Virginia Report. Ore from the Con Cal Va waste dump is dumped into a chute with a half inch grizzly that moves laterally via a Pelton wheel. Screened material drops into a car on the mill track, while coarse rock becomes waste. The system greatly reduces labor and screens rock as quickly as dumped. The mill now crushes about sixty tons of screenings per day.
