12th Indiana Volunteers Hold 20th Reunion in Silver Lake
Silver Lake Indiana September 16 1907 Companies I and F of the 12th Indiana Volunteer Infantry met at comrade H A Ferree’s home for their 20th annual reunion with wives and ex soldiers. President Clavis Sennett led prayers and readings from absent comrades and chaplain Gage with a moving letter. Officers for the coming year were elected Bennett president Jaques vice president Peterson secretary treasurer Lamkin and others spoke of memories and war events. The next reunion will be at Jaques home and 21 members plus nine visitors attended.

Hand Mangle Injures Boy From Farm Wagon Incident
Harry Coble aged 12 son of Samuel Coble of the southeast area suffered a severe crush injury to his right hand while handling a farm wagon. His hand was caught between the tongue and wood shed, tearing the palm and cutting off two fingers at the first joint. He received treatment from Dr Cary after Dr Leckrone was unavailable. about 25 stitches were required to dress the wound.
