Mrs L L Littimer of Mentone spent the weekend with sister Mrs Elwood Kerlin. Paul Snyder and family returned to Fort Wayne after a two week stay. Charcott Wufman of Detroit visited relatives including Mrs J Keesey and others. Mrs John Rowland visited Warsaw Monday.
Ford Motor Company closes its fiscal year with just over nine hundred thousand cars produced. Demand outstrips supply as dealers hold large backlogs and orders exceed production, despite material costs stabilizing. The company aims to produce about one million two hundred thousand cars in the next year.
Center John Beber and family spent Sunday at the All Price home. Chester Bouse and family visited at the Ernie Carr home Sunday. Claire Paulus and family visited Sunday at the Richard Davis home. Miss Marie Carr has been at home from Fort Wayne several days the past week. Dr. Walter Stout and wife are here from New Castile spending the week with their people. Miss Mary Carr has been down to Silver Lake the past week visiting at the Leckrone home. Many from this locality attended Saints meeting Sunday and report having had a most pleasant time. The meetings were quite largely attended this year. Henry Shepherd and wife and Mrs. Culler have returned to West Salem Ohio after visiting at the Elza Brady home for a week or more. Mr. Shepherd is some fisherman and spent much time on the lake.
W. B. Mayo and Col. Deeds travel in Europe to assess aeronautical needs. European aeroplane makers sought financial aid to keep building either abroad or in the United States. The universal flier promises a key advantage none can claim for roads in the sky.
