Two Die In Auto Crash Near Rochester Saturday
Last Saturday evening two people were killed when two cars racing on the boulevard near Rochester crashed at a curve east of the city. Miss Mabel McIntyre and Ray Sanders, both of Rochester, were killed when their car struck another auto and overturned, destroying the vehicle. The other two occupants were injured but not seriously. Miss McIntyre was a niece of Mrs. Frank Getty, a former local resident. The writer notes the danger of street racing.

The remains of Samuel Ostro were brought from Chicago for burial in Lakeview Cemetery. He had no living relatives known and had been living with Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Harvey after visiting the Getty home. Ostro, about forty, died of pneumonia after a brief illness of a little over a week.

A large road construction truck south of Mentone was struck Saturday afternoon by the Winona Interurban passenger car. Two occupants received serious injuries and narrowly escaped death.
