Two Warrish lads escape jail by roof trap at Winona Lake

Fred Hoover and Victor Wakefield were arrested for robbing a cottage at Winona Lake. They escaped from the county jail Thursday night by forcing open a trap door over their cell, crawled to the roof and slid down. Hoover has since been sent to the reform school at Marlfield and Wakefield is to be kept on promise of good behavior.

Federal agents hunt officers of the National Brokerage Exchange after thousands of letters from women pour into the Minneapolis post office.
