The Spanish influenza epidemic varies by locality with public gatherings banned for three weeks. Nationally thousands of cases and over fifteen thousand deaths in cantonment camps. in this locality cases are present but patients are recovering and improving.
A. Jones comes back to Camp Custer Tuesday after visiting home Sunday. He has spent most of three weeks at the camp aiding his son Russel, who has been critically ill with influenza and pneumonia. Russel is improving and may be able to return home on furlough soon.
After seven gasolineless Sundays the ban is lifted. Cars may travel on Sunday now as gasoline shortages ease and supply improves. The ban will stay off unless conditions worsen.
Major James R. Frazer of Warsaw received his commission on Friday and left Sunday for Washington to report for duty in the Judge Advocate General's department. He has served as county food administrator for the past year.

Lieut Bery Worley of Bloomington married Miss Opal Guy of Warsaw on Saturday evening in Warsaw. Worley son of G W Worley family, now in service with Uncle Sam stationed at Camp Taylor Kentucky.
S. A. Hotman and family of Packerton were in town Monday forenoon. Mr. Hohman and Bert Reese ran a Packerton garage last summer. Reese sold his interest to Hohman and last week Hohman sold the business to new owners who will operate the shop.
Thieves broke into the Kampem general store at Disko southwest of here last week and stole a substantial amount of merchandise including underwear and shoes.
