Last week a murder near LaGro left Mrs. Fear paralyzed and in declining health before she died this Sunday. Mr. Bion killed Mr. Fear and wounded the three Fear children, who remain at the Wabash hospital and will soon be released to unknown custody. The family surname is Fear, not Ferre as previously reported.
A note from Rev. A F Kine of Napavine Washington encloses a remittance to the RECORD to advance his subscription to next September He says they are glad to wet their old burned paper as it is like a letter to them.
Charles Albright of South Whitley drowned Saturday evening when the boat he shared with two other men capsized on a lake near Columbia City. Albright could not swim and his companions could not rescue him. He had run the South Whitley elevator for fourteen years.
The pastor Rev. A. Z. Fryberger will be away at the Synod so no preaching service will be held next Sunday October 17 at the Lutheran church. Regular services resume at the evening of Sunday October 24.
Charles Jones of South Whitley sues Nickel Plate for 310000 dollars claiming injuries from a July freight ride incident. He says he was dropped by a crew member who broke his leg and left him a cripple for life.
Charles Reed of North Manchester suffered a stroke of apoplexy last Saturday evening and is in very critical condition. Mrs Reed is sister to Jacob, John and Hiram Haney of this place.
The will of Charles Eckert of Auburn, who died last Thursday, leaves 5000 to the National Prohibition Party, 5000 to the Indiana Prohibition Party, and 12400 to the Western Advent Publishing Company.
Miles Clark and family with John Clark and William Scott visited C. C. Hanson on Sunday at his home. They traveled in Clark's recently purchased Ford used for delivering groceries in North Manchester, recalling past years when Clark worked at Fearson bakery here.
A noon Monday fire at Disko originated in the Ed Harmian barn and spread to two nearby houses. Citizens helped fight the blaze and the flames were brought under control.
Mrs. E. M. Funk accompanies Miss Bessie Carr to an Indiana city on Tuesday for a tonsil removal operation. The pair will stay through the week as she recovers in the unfamiliar locale.

James Hoover of Akron visited Old Town last Saturday evening calling on Mrs. Mises Ethel Ulery at the George Ulery residence. Hoover is well known in the area and his parents once lived west of town. He appeared in good health and spirits.

George Summe and his wife have moved from the Hiram Rager property into their new residence at the corner of High and Main streets.
W. W. Craig who bought Regenos meat market plans to relocate from Akron. He will occupy a portion of the Mrs. Rantz house, expanding his business presence in the local area.
George Ulery and his family who have lived in the Methodist parsonage for months are vacating the residence and relocating to the Hiram Rager property just west of the post office.
George Smith and his family vacated the Flora property in the northeast part of town after living there for a year. The exact destination was not learned.
