Electric line accident claims Walter Loehr in Warsaw plant

Walter Loehr, a 22 year old Claypool resident, was instant ly killed at the Hugro plant in Warsaw when he apparently touched a live light wire after finishing his shift. His body was found on the floor as he reached for a switch. He left a wife and parents among others, and his funeral was held in Claypool with the Warsaw military band in attendance.

Influenza Ban Lifted After Over Month in County

The influenza ban was lifted last Saturday night in the county. Sunday schools and churches resumed on Sunday and public schools opened Monday morning marking the end of a ban that had lasted over a month.

Former Silver Lake Minister injured in Warsaw auto crash

Rev. H. B. Butler of Rochester, aged over 72, was confined to his son Russel Butler’s Warsaw home after a streetcar collision heavily damaged his car. He sustained two broken ribs and widespread bruising but survived the crash.

Baby dies after NE of town buggy accident

A six to seven month old girl, daughter of Mr and Mrs Melvin Brandenburg, died after injuries from a top buggy accident northeast of town. The horse bolted when frightened by a rooting pig, tossing the occupants. The infant suffered a fractured skull and died about an hour later.

Died From Injury During War Celebration in Packerton

Alvin Denney aged about 56 died a few hours after being struck by a bursting wagon tap used with an anvil during a war end celebration in Packerton on Thursday evening last. He died from loss of blood after the injury near the knee. Funeral was Monday afternoon. Survived by wife and four children including former resident Mrs Dot Miller.

The Sid Aker family, living northwest of town, moved their household to Warsaw on Wednesday and plan to make it their future home. About sixty five neighbors gathered Tuesday evening at the Aker home for an enjoyable farewell as Mr and Mrs Aker received a handsome rocker.
