Milton Ball Old Soldier Dies After Long Illness

Milton Ball an old soldier and respected Silver Lake citizen died at his North Jefferson home Friday night after a long sickness. He moved to Silver Lake years ago, farmed nearby, then lived in town until his death, leaving a wide circle of grieving friends. Funeral arrangements announced for Monday.

Fishing Party Visits From Converse Hosts at Dillman Home

An automobile party led by W. O. Draper J F Hiatt J Gossett and Rev R C Dillman came from Converse and visited the William Dillman home for two days last Thursday and Friday. They spent the time on the lake angling for fish and landed a goodly number to take home.

Two Local Men Suffer Arm Injuries in Separate Accidents

Andy Drudge of Noah Frantz place east of town broke right arm and dislocated shoulder when he tripped on a loose board while chasing cattle. Frederick Hines north west of town fractured left arm above the elbow after his mule team bolted while mowing hay. a physician reduced the fracture and he was recovering.
