Walter Stout was pinned beneath a falling tree while cutting in his woods west of town last Friday. Ross Stout freed him, three ribs were broken with multiple facial cuts, but he survived and is reported to be recovering at home.
A public sale begins this Thursday evening at the Racer corner of Main and High streets. Vendors announce a vent meeting with a bid fair to draw attendees as preparations proceed.
A resident southeast of town sustained several broken bones in his left ankle when a ladder he stood on slipped and threw him against a barn door during routine bird testing in his barn. He received sight injuries to the left foot from the fall.

Reunion of the Miller family gathered at Frank Miller's residence north of Mount Pleasant on a Tuesday in June. About thirty members attended with social conversation before a meal prepared by the ladies. Officers for the coming year were elected and the group adjourned to their separate homes, with next meeting time set.

At a members meeting last Friday the band voted to move weekly concerts from Wednesday to Thursday evenings for the rest of the summer. The change was made because several members could not attend the Wednesday sessions.
