Lightning Strikes Lawrence House. Neighbors Contain Fire
Severe thunderstorm hit Sunday as lightning struck a south town Lawrence residence. Neighbors formed a bucket brigade, delaying flames until the fire department arrived. Homeowner Martha Lawrentte, present during the strike, felt only a brief shock. roof damage measured about two by eight feet with a hole in the roof, glass broken in an upstairs window, and a tree contact. Rain helped quell the blaze.
