The Farm House of Thomas Gamble south of town burned Tuesday evening, leaving the home and barn destroyed. Neighbors arrived after the fire was well underway. most ground floor contents were saved though upper floors and cellar were lost. Insurance of about $1000 covered the damage.
February, the last winter month, nears its end with a few days remaining. It has a mixed reputation but offers some promising spring days and brighter, longer sun as it begins with more daylight and ends with nearly as many hours. The month includes holidays such as St. Valentine’s Day, Lincoln’s and Washington’s birthdays.
Inderhill and L. M. Eider announce a fruit farm project one mile from Claypeal this spring. They start with 25 acres and plant 300 cherry trees 60 blackberries 7 900 raspberries 15 04 strawberries. They also grow melons cabbage onions and potatoes for market.
The Odd Fellows, founded in Baltimore in 1819 with five members, have grown to surpass one million members. Lodges exist in nearly every city and town, funding homes for the aged and orphans in many states, guided by Fatherhood of God and brotherhood of man principles.

Mrs James Eaton died at her home near Yellow Creek last Friday. Funeral held Sunday at Fairview church conducted by Rev Miner of Burket. Mrs E M Snake of this place is a daughter of the deceased and Mr Eaton is a brother of Mrs William Wiley.
