George Lightcap Dies After Long Illness At Longcliff
George Lightcap aged unknown died Sunday afternoon at Longcliff hospital after years detained there. A longtime community resident he lived on a local farm and did business in town. His remains were brought to his daughter Mrs Ellen Ayers in the south part of town. Six daughters survive. Funeral held at the house with interment in Hill cemetery delayed one day by storm.

Burley Aughenbaugh Injured In Tree-Cutting Accident
Burley Aughenbaugh of near Lukens Lake Wisconsin was injured while helping cut a tree. His right arm broke and right hip dislocated with bruises. a physician treated him and he was improving as expected.

A massive burr oak on the Hollis Tucker farm in Franklin township was felled Thursday afternoon last week. The tree measured six and a half feet at the base, sixty feet of trunk length, five and a half feet at the top, and contained fifteen thousand feet of timber. The trunk was sound and thrifty with a heavy top and drew nearly one hundred witnesses.
