Edward Drudge Dead After Illness at 63

Edward Drudge a longtime resident died at his daughter's home Wednesday evening after kidney trouble and dropsy. He was 63 years old and survived by his wife, three sons, and five daughters. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 PM in the local U B church.

Warsaw man sentenced for forgery in Michigan City

Fred Lewis of Warsaw received a suspended one to five year term in Michigan City prison for forgery with a $100 fine and costs of 8 20. He pled guilty after forging a check two weeks earlier and will serve 125 days on the penal farm due to nonpayment. He is thirty three with a wife and several children.

Family gathering at A Metzger home near town

A happy gathering occurred last Sunday at the A Metzger home northeast of town. Attendees included Mr and Mrs Emery Metzger with three children, Mr and Mrs Ezra Mezger with three children, Mr and Mrs Sim Smith with seven children, and Mr and Mrs Clarence Helvey with four children. Frances Rager and family were absent. The hostess played Santa in the afternoon and provided much amusement for all ages.

Glass Window in Garage Broken by Backing Car

A plate glass window was shattered Tuesday evening when Ross Stout backed a car inside the garage striking a motorcycle nearby. The impact pushed the motorcycle into the window, breaking the glass into thousands of fragments. A replacement pane will be installed as soon as the new glass arrives.
