Newton resident Mr. Herendeen, four miles east of town, was kicked in the face by a horse as he passed behind it last Thursday evening. The impact caused multiple cuts and bruises and left him unconscious for a time, keeping him in bed for a couple of days.
Mr and Mrs Otho Hill returned to their home via North Manchester on Wednesday after a three week stay at the W W Hill home. They were accompanied by their children who had been here for seven weeks with their grandparents.
Homer Hathaway of the south edge of town underwent an operation after a Saturday afternoon illness and a Sunday procedure. The case is serious, marking the third attack in recent years with prior bouts responding to focal treatment.
Good entertainment at the Castle Square Lyceum program drew a good sized crowd last evening. It was the second number in the Lyceum series and the third act is announced for January.

On Thursday morning a blaze destroyed a row of wooden buildings in Citronelle Alabama. J G Babcock and partner Urmey occupied one room with groceries, saving many goods but facing about 1500 dollars in losses with 700 dollars insured. This marks multiple losses for Jud since moving to Citronelle.

Miss Mina Leonard of this place and Charles H. Raber of North Manchester were married last Saturday at six in the M E Parsonage Warsaw after obtaining a license. Rev Fisher performed the ceremony. The couple returned with Miss Bessie Snyder and Isadore Raber. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs C L Leonard. The groom is a North Manchester resident praised as energetic and well liked. Congratulations are extended for a long and prosperous married life.
An inspector visited the post office last Thursday and Friday, reviewing the books and data and finding the office in the very best condition. Local officials express pride in the report and its favorable findings.
Robert Dillman and his family traveled from Battle Ground to stay with his parents Mr and Mrs William Dillman. Mrs Dillman has been sick for several months and has not improved in the past week.

Harry Way returns home after a hunting trip described as killing wild game and a deer shot at a bear. He had been employed in Grand Rapids but spent six weeks hunting in a large 15 acre pod area to the north. His plans to stay with his people are noted.
The K of P lodge invites members and visiting brothers to meet at the lodge room at 6 30 pm on Monday December 10. Families gather by 7 30 pm. The group will attend a four reel cinema show at the Bismark Theatre and return for an oyster supper at the lodge hall.

The rural route No 2 patrons will soon have Ford service. Mr Wiley usually finishes by five but Saturday Will completed his route early at six hours ahead. He dined with his wife, the first time in fifteen years while carrying mail, and planned to buy a Ford arriving in service January 1, 1916.
