Tree accident nearly fatal for Ezra Flohr near town

About two weeks ago Ezra Flohr who lives southwest of town was helping to cut a tree when another tree limb fell and struck him on the head. He was unconscious for over two hours and sustained a scalp wound and multiple head and body injuries. A physician treated him and he has since improved toward a full recovery.

Ross L Smith of Akron and Irene Lyon of Mentone were issued a marriage license in Warsaw last week. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Lyon, was born in Silver Lake and has lived in Mentone. The Edward Drudge funeral was held Friday afternoon December 24 at the United Brethren church. Rev. Speicher assisted by Rev. Hardy conducted the services for a large gathering. Interment followed in South Pleasant cemetery.

Obituary: Edward Drudge 1852 1915 dies at 63 in Indiana

Edward Drudge born April 6 1852 in Fulton Indiana died December 22 1915 at age 63 8 months 16 days. He moved to Kosciusko county in 1874 near Silver Lake married Catherine Myers in 1875 and had ten children eight surviving plus fourteen grandchildren. He was a devoted husband father and neighbor known for industry and kindness, suffered health decline three years prior but faced it with fortitude and faith, departing peacefully with family consolation.
