William Gresso traveled to Chicago Tuesday to select a new complete stock of fall goods for the Cash Store. He plans to return Saturday.
Last Friday the Burket ball team traveled to Isurket to teach the locals how to play. In the game, 20 runs were scored by the end of the ninth inning, with Burket recording 7 runs.
Quarantine has been lifted on the Dr Meek home in Tiosa where Master Don Leon ard and Dorothy Meek, children of Mrs N J Leonard and Dr and Mrs Meek, were treated for scarlet fever. The family has recovered and the home quarantine is ended.
Farmers' Day at WHnona tomorrow Friday August 15 will draw every farmer in Nosciusko County. Secretary of Agriculture Wilson will deliver an address. Gov. Bachelder of New Hampshire, Mrs. C. W. Boucher of Marion and Hon. Aaron Jones will speak. Special railroad rates apply. Farmers and families admitted free.

A letter from Charles Harter of Catawba Wisconsin says his wife died after a prolonged illness and was buried on Thursday August 10. She leaves a daughter about eight years old. The obituary notes she had been ill for some time and died unexpectedly.
Gone to Colorado Isert Carter left last Saturday night for Pueblo via the Nickel Plate and Chicago for the benefit of the climate. He will remain for some time hoping to overcome a tubercular affection from which he has been suffering recently. We trust he may fully recover his health.

Charles E Shively supreme chancellor of the Knights of Pythias issues rulings of broad interest. No Pythian lodge may lay a cornerstone on Sunday under the supreme constitution and statutes. No one may transact business except that pertaining to the order while the lodge is in session. A member of the supreme or grand tribunal should not hold another office within the order.
A public sale will be held on Saturday August 19 at the seller's residence four miles east and three miles south of town. Items include one cow iron and brass kettles farming implements household furniture and kitchen articles. Sale starts at 1 o clock. J D Gill is the auctioneer.
