Limb Was Broker Mrs Jontz Injury at Country Home

Mrs T A Jontz suffered a double fracture of the left limb above the ankle while raking at her southeast town residence. She stepped on a small stick while walking backward, then contacted physicians Dr Leckrone and Dr Bay who treated and reduced the fractures, making her as comfortable as possible.

Boy Hurt by Cinders in School Ground Incident

A Tuesday play incident on the school grounds left Milton Leckrone with a small wound behind his right ear after being struck by a cinder missile. Several boys were throwing cinders during the activity.

New Big Four Agent Installed at Silver Lake

J W Ferrerda left December to join F&E hardware and Fred McKown of Alexandria was sent as relief. Ferrerda’s leave expired last week and McKown, already applying with the company, was made Big Four agent at Silver Lake. McKown has railroad experience and is well liked, with many warm friends in town.

Death by own action near Liberty Mills investigated

Bartlett Brown Pullins aged 48 died by shooting himself through the head with a 32 caliber rifle and hanged himself to a small tree in a ravine three miles north of Liberty Mills. The body was found Friday morning by neighbor Samuel Coble. investigators deem the act premeditated and the scene secluded.

The program outlines a Class Day program Thursday afternoon at the Bismark Theatre and a banquet Thursday evening at the I O O F Hall hosted by the Ladies of M E Church. Commencement is set for Friday evening at the United Brethren Church with Dr Linton of State University delivering the address. The Silver Lake district schools close Friday for summer vacation and many alumni from the Silver Lake high school are expected to attend the events.

The senior class will remember the last week with class day exercises in the Bismark theatre Thursday evening and supper served by Methodist aid society for about sixty. The highlight is Friday commencement at the United Brethren church with a speech titled Excelsior.

Ilerschel Olinger, son of Mr and Mrs Chester Olinger living south of town, is reported much improved after a pneumonia attack. The fever broke Friday leaving him weak for several days.

Class Day Activities Highlight School Commencement

This Thursday afternoon at 2 o clock the class will perform Too Much of a Good Thing lasting about three quarters of an hour. The annu al session of the alumni association closes class day exercises with new officers for the year to be announced by Dr Vinton of Indiana State University. A large crowd gathered at U B church Sunday evening for the baccalaureate addressed to Silver Lake high graduates by Rev. Noah McCoy of South Whitley. He preached on the twelfth verse of Job chapter eleven, delivering a half hour speech noted for its forceful points and memorable counsel. The U B choir provided the music.

Died in Warsaw T M Hill former resident passes at 85

T M Hill, former resident, died at the home of his daughter Mrs Worth Dilly in Warsaw about one o clock Tuesday morning. He was 85 years 7 months and 12 days old and had been in failing health for years. He previously lived in Silver Lake and worked as a stone mason. He leaves one daughter, two sisters, one half sister, one brother and a half brother plus many relatives and friends. Funeral at 10:30 Thursday in the M E church with Rev H W Park of Tippecanoe, Rev Overmyer of Warsaw, and Rev Singer of the local area presiding.
