Eight Traffic Fatalities Reported in New Mexico Crash Near Eunice
A two car head on collision on New Mexico 18 south of Eunice Monday night killed Juan Benavidez Sorola 46 and Gomecinda Lopez Sorola 58 of Vaughn and John Wesley Garrett 47 of Jal. The crash, which occurred on a two lane highway without center stripe, involved a Hobbs car carrying four passengers that was not injured except for two riders with injuries.

Sheriff and Police Have Average Labor Day Weekend
Grant County Sheriff’s Office answered 31 calls from Friday noon to Monday midnight. Shiver City Police Department logged 15 calls in the same period.
